LUNCH & A LOOK AT THE GARDEN
On Tuesday, November 3, 2009, please join Park volunteers Jan and Ken Hardison for an historic glimpse at “Christmastime with General Palmer.”</> This free half-hour presentation will celebrate another generous aspect of our founder’s heritage in Colorado Springs, as we approach the 2009 holiday season. The program begins at 12 noon in the Red Rocks Room at the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center; then join us for lunch (at one’s own expense) in our café as we continue the conversation along with a spectacular view of our Park. Join Park volunteer Bette Lamore for a free lecture on bison on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, 12 o’clock noon, Red Rocks Room, Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center. This half-hour program, “Buffalo Ghosts,” relates the unique history of this well-traveled grazer, no longer roaming the range along the trails at Garden of the Gods Park.
