Discover some of the best stories about Garden of the Gods Park from Dr. Richard Beidleman who spent many years researching the Park’s biology and history. How did the Park become a National Natural Landmark? What did Charles Lindberg ever have to do with our city’s most famous park? Dr. Beidleman’s lively and enlightening presentation will be unforgettable.
Dr. Richard G. Beidleman is Professor Emeritus of Biology, Colorado College, and is the author of the Park’s National Natural Landmark documents for the U.S. Department of Interior. Dr. Beidleman is a nationally acclaimed author, biologist and naturalist.

Saturday, June 20
Bird Walk – American Birding Association -Saturday 8 am –
Dress for weather, wear sturdy shoes, bring binoculars, water, and hat. Meet in visitor center parking lot.
Wednesday, June 24
Photography Walk –5 pm – Reservations required, phone 719-219-0108.
(Paul deBerjeois, scenic photo artist) dress for weather, wear sturdy shoes & prepare to explore off-road 2 mile hike at GoG, bring water, hat & sunscreen, bring any ‘camera’ from cell phone to DSLR, tri-pod and polarizing filter also suggested, great experience for beginner, intermediate & advanced. Meet in Red Rocks Room.
