Let the Party Begin! Royal Gorge Bridge & Park Celebrates 80th Birthday with May Specials. Take Mom Out Free!

The Royal Gorge Bridge & Park, Canon City, Colo., will party down this year as the world’s highest suspension bridge celebrates its 80th Birthday all year long. The tourist season jump starts at the park during the month of May as it is Military Appreciation Month with 50 percent off season passports or daily passes for all active and retired military personnel and their immediate family with proper identification.

All Moms are welcome on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, with free admission at the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park. Free face painting by Denise Lallemand is available to children on this special day between 10:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The month of May is also Fremont County Appreciation Month, as all residents of the county with proper identification will receive 50 percent off season passports and daily passes for the entire month.

May 1-31, for all eligible Military personnel and Fremont County residents, a half price adult day pass regularly $24 is $12.00, and a half price adult season passport regularly $36.00 is $18.00. Season passports are good for 365 days from date of purchase.

The Royal Gorge Bridge & Park is home to the world’s highest suspension bridge, and has entertained over 23 million guests since 1929. Admission includes several rides, shows, and attractions including the World’s Steepest Incline Railway, and the World’s Longest Single-Span Aerial Tram. The Royal Rush Skycoaster, one of the world’s scariest thrill rides, is an extra pay feature.
