Colorado Springs, CO (7/3/08) – They’ve grown up so fast! You’ve seen the tower from the road--now come inside and see what it’s all about at the 3rd Annual Burro Birthday & Bluegrass Concert, Saturday, August 16. Starting at 10 a.m., there will be demonstrations of large mining machinery, hard rock mining tours, gold panning demonstrations, and plenty of food, music, and drink.
Come early to enjoy these activities to include a birthday cake and sing along with the Museum’s resident burros, Oro and Nugget, followed by a toe tappin’ concert featuring the award winning bluegrass band, Grass It Up, at 1 p.m. The concert is outside in the orchard and dancing is definitely allowed! This event will take place rain or shine. Picnics and lawn chairs are encouraged. Food and beverage vendors will be on site.

Admission: $10 for non-museum members, $5 for museum members, and $2 for children 3-17 years.
