The Royal Gorge Route Railroad offers the best experience of the Royal Gorge on a breathtaking, 2-hour (3-hour for dinner train) scenic and historic train ride on the most famous portion of the former Denver & Rio Grande Western train line. To find the train depot, turn south on 3rd Street from Highway 50 in Canon City. This will bring you to the historic Santa Fe Depot and the Gateway to the Royal Gorge.
